One of the most noted fiddle players of his generation, Duncan Chisholm was brought up near Inverness and the Highlands of Scotland, surrounded by the beauty that inspires his work to this day.

Learning his trade from legendary Scottish fiddle player Donald Riddell CBE, his musicianship has won him work from the BBC as well as from the Scots Trad music awards where he won album of the year in 2014 and he continues to explore and expand his musical horizons not only with Julie Fowlis but also with his own folk-rock band Wolfstone.

Fresh from a trip across the continent, he discusses his work, how he makes his music and what goes into putting an album into the order that we as listeners finally hear it, followed by the track “Dizzy Blue” from his album “Sandwood”.
